Founded and launched Feel Fuzzy in 2025
To bring equity to mental health spaces
Around 2017, as a young creative in a new city, I was struggling with my mental health, looking for something that could help me navigate this. I didn't know where to start, whom to talk to, whom to trust, or even how to afford therapy. I saw the lack of resources and decided to do something about it.
That's when I started making the now-famous list of "Mental Health Practitioners for young adults at an affordable fee". The very list that I've diligently curated and updated on my own time for all these years.
All MHPs listed on it provided young adult-centric, and queer-affirmative care at an affordable rate, with some even offering sliding scale and pro-bono slots. Besides the therapists, I continued to add other centers and helplines that people from around the country could use and access when dealing with mental health concerns or a crisis.
That list has gone viral multiple times, and some of you may have even received it, seen it, shared it, or used it. The impact it had was profound. The list reached thousands. I've received hundreds of messages, DMs, and emails, telling me how much the list changed their life, or even saved it.
That wasn't something I took lightly. It moved and inspired me to continue to work to make mental health care accessible and equitable. So really, FeelFuzzy.in is more than 7 years in the making. This platform is for everyone, even those sometimes ignored in mainstream conversations. Our panel of therapists represents diverse backgrounds: different religious-identities, gender-identities, sexual-identities, caste-identities, and more.
